
Exceptionally rare and near mint Lightweight Parker CHE 12ga game gun with ventilated rib – Straight stocked w/ double triggers – a true rarity: Very rare gun made in 1927 on a #1 Frame, this Parker CHE Grade with 28″ Acme Steel barrels that have factory original Ventilated rib. Made with splinter forend, nickel plated double triggers, straight grip buttstock with very fine French Walnut, which terminates with an older Silvers type pad. The gun matches the serialization book exactly as found and is engraved in typical CHE Grade pattern with large flying goose on the trigger plate.
Known as an option “21” in the Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book, this is an exceptionally rare gun. The barrels retain more than 98% original blue. The frame retains virtually all of its bold original case color. The trigger guard retains more than 95% of its original blue. Stocks are excellent to near mint with nearly all of their original hand rubbed finish remaining with only minor handling marks. Bores are brilliant and shiny and the mechanics are crisp. The breechface shows almost no use and this is very much a near mint gun. Metal and wood finishes are guaranteed original. Price: $21,500

CASED PAIR OF MERKEL O/U DOUBLE RIFLES IN CALIBER 8X60MM:
The guns are fitted in an English oak and leather style case with brass corners. Interior is green felt that shows some wear but in generally good condition. No accessories other than a couple of leather straps. The guns complement each other very well. Both have about 95% barrel blue and about 75-80% clean case colors. Receivers are nicely engraved with one being a bit more elaborate than the other. One has a 13-1/2 inch LOP and the other has 14-1/2 inch LOP. Both have a 2-piece forearm. One is in the 15k serial range and the other is in the 19k serial range. Both have cheek pieces, sling swivels, fine bores and excellent mechanics. A nice little outfit.
