Scarce Francotte 20E 16ga SxS Game Gun: Fine August Francotte 16ga made in 20E Grade likely made in or around 1925. Boxlock gun with false sideplates which gives the engraver a bigger canvas for the rose and scroll engraving on this gun. This gun made with original 27-3/4″ length fluid steel barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, auto ejectors, and auto safety. The straight grip buttstock is nicely figured and terminates with a pretty full leather covered pad. The gun is nicely scroll engraved as seen in the photos. Gun is sound and in proof. This gun remains in excellent condition with about 40% original case color remaining. Barrels retain about all of an older restored proper rust blue. Stocks are sound as restored and are quite nice. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Gun is nice and tight on the face. Price: $5,000
