Gorgeous all original and untouched Westley Richards “Droplock” 16ga – 1928 Gun which remains in gorgeous untouched original condition: Made in 1928 and shipped to Bob Smith in Boston, MA. This gun built with 26″ barrels. Splinter forend is nicely checkered with Deeley latch release and horn tip. Casehardened frame is very nicely scroll and game engraved as seen in the photos. Frame with sideclips. Blued droplock triggerplate is nicely scroll engraved. Long tang blued triggerguard is nicely scroll engraved as well. Gun made with double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety, side clips, and drop locks which are very nicely engine turned! The capped pistol grip buttstock is nicely checkered and terminates with its original leather faced recoil pad which has collapsed. (We can have a new leather faced recoil pad installed prior to delivery if the buyer wishes to do so). Gun remains in beautiful untouched and as found original condition. Barrels with about 90% original blue remaining. Stocks are excellent and sound with original finishes and show handling marks from honest use. Frame retains about 90% original case color with crisp engraving. Triggerplate and trigger guard with about 80% original blue remaining. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are perfect.
