I know what you’re thinking: What’s so rare about a 16 gauge Winchester Model 21? If that’s all this double was, I’d say “nuttin”.
But this SxS has three important important features which push it in the holi-cr@p-that’s-hard-to-find category: double triggers, ejectors, and very shootable dimensions.
The Winchester M21 was produced for 60 years: 1931 to 1991. In that time, Winchester built around 30,000. By the time the M21 hit the market, pumps and auto loaders were taking over the American market and SXS shotguns were on their way out. Fortunately, enough shooters preferred classics like this and kept the M21 in production for so long.
