Here’s your chance to get a deal on one of the most reliable and affordable side-by-side shotguns out there. It’s a 20g Browning BSS Sporter. It’s on Gunauction.com now and the listing ends Monday, November 30, @ 7:00pm.
Introduced in 1971, the original Browning BSS was an Anson & Deeley-style boxlock shotgun that combined a proven design with top-quality metals, excellent finishing, and an affordable price.
Standard models came in 12g & 20g with pistol grips, ejectors, single triggers, beavertail forends, and either 26″, 28″, or 30″ barrels. Sporters featured straight grips, 26″ or 28″ barrels, and a half-beavertail forends. Both were made in Japan by Miroku (the same company building Browning’s Citori OU).
In 1983, Browning introduced a sidelock BSS model, also made in Japan by Miroku.
