Richard Barnes is a Purdey-trained action maker who has also worked for Boss & Co., Holland & Holland, and top makers in the UK and Italy.
Today, he builds guns under his own name, and in this video I think he’s shaping up the action on a Purdey/Woodward-style sidelock OU. In today’s CNC/computer-driven age, it’s amazing to see how much handwork Barnes uses to give the action it’s shapes and contours.
