The Fox Sterlingworth was one of the most popular American doubles of all time. From 1910 to about 1940, A.H. Fox and then the Savage Arms Company built around 140,000 of these great side-by-side shotguns to shooters throughout North America. Most were “Standard” or “Field” guns. A few were true Sterlingworth “Trap” guns.

First offered in 1913, the Sterlingworth “Trap” gun wasn’t a grade. It was just the company’s designation for a heavy 12g, 16g, or 20g Sterly with 32″ bbls & full chokes. Ejectors were available as an option.
