Like the Morgan Freeman and the novel, the 16g shotgun has been declared dead a number of time. Regardless of what we’ve hear, though, this gauge lives on (just like the actor and the literary form). Back in 2000 New England Arms introduced a line of Italian-made 16g O/Us. These guns were built by Fabrrica Armi di’ Isisdoro Rizzini (FAIR). I’m pretty sure this is one of them.
The New England Arms/FAIR 16gs were built on a true 16g frame (instead of 12s). They proven to be rugged, reliable guns. If you’re looking for a new O/U, you should consider one — and do you part to keep this great gauge alive.
