The VH was one of up from Parker’s lowest grade hammerless shotgun (the Trojan). The “H” stood for “Hammerless” and the “E” was added to “VH” to indicate this gun was made with Ejectors, rather than extractors. According to Parker, the VH was “…strictly high-grade gun at a low price” and said they were “A gun for hard usage that cannot be equaled”. Introduced in 1899, it was the company’s most popular model, and 78,670 were made in all.

From what I can see, this one looks like pretty original. The pad is an addition, but the rest of the gun look good. If the barrels are in good shape and the rest of it is sound and shootable, this gun would be great for grouse, quail, woodcock, and anything else in the uplands.
