Savage Arms introduced these Savage Fox A Grades a few years ago, and what makes them odd is the fact that the only thing they have in common with a vintage Fox A Grade is the “Fox” name.

But that doesn’t mean the Savage Fox A Grade is a bad gun. In fact, I think it’s better than the real thing, and right now, the one you see here is an absolute steal.

The new Savage Fox A Grade is actually a CSMC RBL with different aesthetics. That’s a good thing because the RBL is a well built, it used the tried-and-true Anson & Deeley-style boxlock action, and features modern metals, modern stock dimensions,  choke tubes, and comes with a case.

Savage Arms FOX Grade A 20 Gauge: The Savage Arms Fox A Grade is a side by side shotgun. This particular version is chambered in 20 gauge and features a hammer-less Anson Deeley-style box lock action along with Holland & Holland style extractors. The double triggers and case colored receiver add to the overall look. Undoubtedly the precision cut checkered American Black Walnut stock featuring an oil finished is something for the eye to behold. The Fox A Grade side by side is a work of art which belongs in a museum but can happily reside on your arm and in the field with you for years to come.
