I spent a lot of time at flea markets when I was a kid. I never knew what I would find. Of course, that was a big part of their allure.
Gunrunner Online Auctions remind me of those flea markets. I’ve been watching their sales for years and sometimes a double pops up that interests me. Here’s one of them.
Twenty-gauge Browning Lightnings are great shotguns for grouse, woodcock & quail hunting. This one has seen a little refinishing, which should keep the hammer price down and make it a great deal.

Lot 25: Browning Superposed Lightning, 20 ga. over/under shotgun. Serial #35561V5, mfg. Belgium 1965: Excellent, refinished condition. 28” vent rib barrels have shiny bores, near 100% professionally re-blued finish. 2 ¾” chambers, choked MOD & FULL. Long-tang receiver has excellent original finish with reblued trigger guard, forearm levers and top tang. Gold plated trigger. Blonde stock of European walnut has excellent original finish and checkering, round knob grip and correct butt plate. Single selective mechanical trigger and ejectors work perfectly. A beautiful little Belgian 20 ga. – rarely seen with 28” barrels!
