Boss & Co’s over & under are awesome shotguns. They revolutionized the shooting world in 1909, and today just about every modern O/U you see owes a debt to their innovative design.

The Boss & Co. o/u you see here was ordering 1953 and shipped to Abercrombie & Fitch in New York for an American customer. How did it look when it arrived? Just like you see it here. It’s as close to brand new as a 60-year old shotgun can be.

When it was new, this shotgun was one of the most expensive doubles offered by Abercrombie & Fitch. Today, a new Boss & Co O/U in 12 gauge costs £87,950 — or about $133,000.

Boss and Co., London. Superb 12ga. OU Game Gun ordered by the “Abercrombie and Fitch” New York store on 15th June 1953. Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz. Stock Dimensions: 14 1/4”x 1 3/8”x 2 1/2”x ¼” cast-off. 26” barrels with 2 ¾” chambers and mint bores (.734”/.735”), choked Imp/Mod, have minimum wall thickness of .033”/.033”. Boss non-selective single trigger. Highly figured Walnut semi-pistol grip stock and splinter forend. Non-automatic safety. Overall condition is absolutely mint throughout.
