
Greifelt is on of those Euro makers we don’t hear much about these days. But in their day, they made some real nice double-barrel shotguns, including this 20 gauge over-under being auctioned off tomorrow by The Potomack Company in Alexandria, VA.

OVER & UNDER 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN BY GREIFELT & CO., SUHL, GERMANY An engraved, pre-WWII, fine European sporting shotgun with 26-inch barrels, checkered forearm and pistol grip. Pachmayr recoil pad, solid rib, ejectors, bright clear bores; 42 inches total length. Imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold of New York, and so marked on barrel. Serial number 30188. With vintage leather Abercrombie & Fitch leather case. Can be sold directly to a buyer possessing a federal firearms dealer’s license or a curio & relic collector’s license; otherwise, paperwork will be conducted by an area gun dealer. Will ship to out-of-state buyer with license or to his licensed dealer, length of pull is 14 in., drop at comb is 1 5/8 in., drop at heel is 2 9/16 in., cast off.
