
Leroy Merz has this nice 12 gauge Westley Richards drop lock double barrel shotgun on his site now. Westley has been making drop locks (aka hand-detachable locks) since 1895 and you see these side-by-sides in a wide range of grades, from plain ones to deluxe models like this and this.
Here the info on this one from the dealer’s site:

12 ga with 2-3/4″ chambers. Original 30″ bbls. Overall gun is in beautiful condition retaining nearly all original bright blue on the bbls. Receiver retains about 50% original case colors in protected areas. The floor plate was expertly refinished a long time ago with sharp engraving as well as the trigger guard which is game scene engraved. Ejectors are in time. The receiver features the scalp style back treatment to the action which is beautifully done. Original straight stock English Fancy Dlx wood looks to have been slightly cleaned. It has sharp checkering.

It measures 14-3/4″ to the end of an English hard rubber buttplate. Stock has a 2-3/16″ drop at the heel and 1-5/8″ drop at the comb. Gun weighs 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
Complete with a beautifully done original case with the Wesley Richards label in fine condition. The exterior of the case shows a few mars and dings. It has the previous owner’s name embossed on top of the leather case. Very nice clean sharp little Wesley Richards hand detachable drop block gun featuring double triggers. Complete with Letter of Authenticity verifying order from the Wesley Richards Plant and copies of shipping ledgers.
