Long splinter forend checkered in near full coverage pattern with engraved release. Barrels with matted rib and gold inlaid on rib “THE QUAIL GUN”. Breech ends of barrels with beautiful flowing floral scroll and relief Quail in wedges. Top lever with gold inlaid quail. Scalloped box lock action is full coverage engraved with floral scroll and quail on sides, a large relief panel with two well executed setters on point on bottom. Ignacio Ugartechea ~ Engraved ~ Sidelock ~ 8 Pin ~ Two Barrel Set ~ 12 Gauge ~ 1948 Production: This Ugartechea SXS is a 8 pin sidelock action, chopper lump barrels, auto safety, removable striker discs, side clips, tear drops at the end of the lock plates, cocking indicators, beetle back safety, 95% + rose and scroll engraving. The fist barrel is 27.5″ choked “IC- right” and “IM – left”. The second barrel 28 3/4″ choked “MOD – right and “FULL – Left”. Both barrels are marked on the right barrel “I UGARTECHEA”. The underside of the barrels have various marks and numbers. Some are difficult to clearly make out. There barrel flats are marked “20-70”, “X” in a shield, “2” in crossed rifles, “BP” in a shield, with two crossed swords with “CH” with the serial number “25299” and “900 KGS”. Similar proofs are on the watertable. The forend wood is marked “7299”. Both barrels have a white bead front sight. The stocks are wood with checkering to the wrist and forend. The butt is hand checkered, no butt plate. Over this shotgun is in great condition with a few minor handling marks. 12 Gauge Price: $4,499.99*
