The bar action Holland and Holland style sidelock is highly engraved with a stunning hand cut Holland Acanthus style scroll. This model was the highest grade shotgun manufactured by Miroku and one of the finest shotguns ever produced in Japan. It is superior to any of the BSS sidelock models imported through Browning. This model was intended for the European market and was not imported to the US due to Browning’s agreement with Miroku. This double offers an excellent value (for comparison, the Browning BSS sidelock is the same gun mechanically but finished to a lower standard… yet the Browning costs considerably more).
The European walnut has been fashioned into a slim splinter forend and a butt with a capped pistol grip and an old English Decelerator recoil pad. The action and stock are balanced by 26″ chopper lump barrels that are beautifully struck. The barrels have been threaded with Briley thin-wall choke tubes making this gun very versatile.
