Below are two of the finest 28 gauge Parkers SxSs to hit the market in a while. Both are coming up next week in Guyette and Deeter’s Sept. 9/11 & 9/12 Fine Sporting Arms Auction.

Classic American gunmakers like Parker, L.C. Smith, and Ithaca built very few 28 gauge side-by-sides. Not many of those guns are around today. Either one of these doubles would be perfect for a seasoned Parker fan building his collection or someone who just wants to own a great example of a classic American shotgun.

Lot 3: EXTREMELY RARE AND FINE PARKER BHE 28 GAUGE
Lot 3: EXTREMELY RARE AND FINE PARKER BHE 28 GAUGE

Lot 3: EXTREMELY RARE AND FINE PARKER BHE 28 GAUGE: Est. $30,000 – $50,000 Excellent. Brls with more than 95% of their original toning blue. Buttstock and forearm are excellent as expertly refinished with some minor handling marks noted. The frame and trigger plate retain about 75% of their original case color with crisp engraving. Trigger guard has been expertly restored and retains nearly all of that blue. The Infallible trigger appears to have been with the gun for much of its life and shows appropriate aging and tone, mostly likely to have been added to this gun during its early period of use. Buttplate is near mint as restored. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
