Rare original Parker DHE 28ga “00” frame gun with original 28″ barrels in really nice shape with gorgeous wood: Beautiful and fine condition Parker DHE Grade 28ga made on a “00” frame with original 28″ Titanic steel barrels. This gun with original splinter forend, double triggers, auto ejectors, and straight grip buttstock. The gun has beautiful original case color and barrel blue. The buttstock is of particularly nice Walnut with great grain layout as seen in the photos. The gun remains in excellent overall condition. Barrels with about 90-95% original blue with a few light scratches on left barrel at breech end from storage. Frame with about 60% plus beautiful case color. The buttstock is excellent as restored. Trigger guard with nearly all of its perfectly restored blue. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. This is a great little Parker and it is really hard to find “00” frame guns in anything other than 26″ barrel length. This gun is worthy of time afield and in a great collection. Price: $47,500*

HOLLAND & HOLLAND 450/400 2 3/8″ B P E DOUBLE RIFLE- TOPLEVER HAMMER- ABOUT 1880- 26″ STEEL Bbls.- VERY GOOD BORES- SCOTT PATENT SPINDLE ACTION: #5212, Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London: A Neat Compact Top Lever Rebounding Hammer Back Action “No.2 Model” 450/400 2 3/8″ BPE Double Rifle Made about 1880, 26″ Extractor Steel Henry’s Patent barrels and so marked, Rib extension, 1 standing & 1 folding fully engraved rear sights, Double underlugs & double bite, The receiver flats are stamped “Patent Action” plus stamped “W.M.S. Patent No. 2752”, That is a significant patent from 1865 by no other than William Middleditch Scott and is well known as the “Scott Spindle”, It is a vertical spindle in the head of the stock (Top Lever) that is connected to a sliding underbolt that keys the double underlugs with double bites, Still used to this very day, It is numbered 10136 on both the receiver flats and the bottom rib of the barrels meaning it was the 10,136 gun built under this Scott patent, This was the beginning of the end of the hammer gun from about 1870 to 1890, London proved, Top lever, Cross-Bolt or wedge forend release, Pistol grip stock with a horn grip cap, The trigger guard strap to the grip cap, 14″ LOP over a light matted steel buttplate, Shadowline cheekpiece, 8 lbs., 80% engraving coverage of classic H&H scroll with a very nice patina on the frame and 15% of original case colors, Very solid wood both front & back that will last another lifetime, Sling eyes, The breech face has 80% case colors, It remains tight to the face, The bores remain very good with surface pitting in a few areas but the rifling is totally sharp from throat to muzzle, Very sound wood and remains in stout condition, This piece has reblacked barrels that were professionally done and now remain at 98%, It has 15% original case colors, The buttstock and forend has been refinished and remains at 95%, The checkering is at 96%, Every screw is north & south and all remain at 90% condition including those inside the forend. This is a neat 8 lb. rifle that handles .408″ diameter bullets in either 230 or 250 grain bullets at about 1700 fps. A fun Holland & Holland light game sporting double rifle. Price: $8,800*

SxS 28″ bbls, Double Triggers: Parker Reproduction 28 ga. features desirable 28″ barrels choked modified and full.  Classic configuration, double triggers, splinter for end, straight hand stock of striking flame grain dark tiger stripe walnut.  Stock dimensions, 1-1/2″, comb 2-1/2″ heel.  Lenght of pull is 15-1/4″ over the extended pad.  13-3/4″ of original stock length.  FYI  would measure 14″ with a reproduction dogs head buttplate or 14-1/2″ with a brown Old English pad.  A couple of the most minor marks in the finish, blue and colors 100 %.
