Here’s your chance to get a deal on one of my favorite OUs. Ward’s Collectibles in Dallas, OR, has this 20g Beretta BL-4 in their online auction and the listing ends Friday, 12/3.
Introduced in the ’60s, Beretta’s BL grade OUs were imported into the US by the Garcia Corp through the ’70s.

The BLs feature a shallow, low profile action scaled to match the gauge. They were priced to be values – not cheap, but well made guns at fair prices. They came in a number of grades, with the BL-5s being the highest. All of them were rugged, reliable doubles, built to deliver a lot of quality for a fair amount of money.

Beretta, Model BL-4, 20 Ga: MFG. Late 1960’s, SN: X11025, O/U Take-down Shotgun, 28” Matted Vent Rib barrels, 3” chamber, F/M, Ejectors. The original capped pistol grip & checkered stocks are excellent, with original finish & a few minor finish level scrapes or scuffs. The original metal blue finish is 98% on barrels, with the blue on the receiver toning a lovely plum. The receiver displays fine scroll & accent hand engraving. Bores are excellent, Beretta Trident buttplate. Gold trigger. Fitted with mid & front bead. Excellent overall condition.
