
Here’s a listing that has me scratching my head. The seller claims it’s an “A.H. Fox Unknown Model”. To me, it sure looks like an all-original A.H. Fox A-grade with the late style of engraving. According to the serial number, it was made around 1924 — several years after A.H. Fox made the transition over to this engraving pattern.

Fox Unknown Model Engraved 12GA Side by Side Shotgun: Side by Side Shotgun Caliber/Gauge: 12GA Barrel Length: 28″ Choke: Fixed Chokes (Extra Full and Improved Modified) Stock/Grips: Walnut Stock. Engraving is not factory (????). Light blue wear. Walnut stock shows wear to finish, scratches and scuffs. 85-90. Price: $799
