Carol Watson’s Orange Coast Auctions in Irvine, CA, is having a big sale tomorrow. There are a number of good doubles in it. Here are a couple that caught my eye. Lot 190: Winchester-Parker Reproduction DHE Grade Side-by-Side Shotgun: #28-01164, 28 ga., 28” game rib blue barrels choked Full/Mod., roll-engraved game scene case-hardened boxlock frame, checkered pistol-grip walnut stock with engraved steel skeleton buttplate and splinter forend. All features are standard to this model, including auto safety, auto ejectors, single brass bead front sight, and single trigger. Condition is excellent, appearing new and unfired. Stock shows minor marks from handling. In original leather case, with Parker marked snap cap and canvas cover, showing some soiling to external of case. Length of pull: 14-1/4”. Est.: $3,000-$5,000.
Lot 194: Winchester-Parker Reproduction DHE Grade Side-by-Side Shotgun: #12-1548, 12 ga., 28” game rib blue barrels with Winchester choke tubes, roll-engraved game scene case-hardened boxlock frame, checkered straight-grip walnut stock with skeleton buttplate and splinter forend. All features are standard to this model, including auto safety, auto ejectors, single brass bead front sight, and double triggers. Condition is excellent, appearing new and unfired. In original leather case with full compliment of choke tubes and Parker snap caps. Length of pull: 14-3/4”. Est.: $3,500-$5,000.
Lot 214: Rare Winchester-Parker Reproduction BHE Grade Limited Edition Two-Barrel Side-by-Side Shotgun: #20-0065, 20 ga., 26” game rib blue matte barrels choked Imp./Mod.; and 28” game rib blue matte barrels choked Full/Mod.; both barrels show light roll engraving at breech; roll-engraved game scene case-hardened boxlock frame, checkered straight-grip fancy walnut stock with engraved steel skeleton buttplate and splinter forend. All features are standard to this model, including auto safety, auto ejectors, single brass bead front sight, and double triggers. Considered extremely scarce as only 100 were mfg’d in 20 ga., and only a handful were two-barrel sets. Mfg’d 1987-1989. Condition is excellent, appearing new and unfired, in original leather case showing minor scuffs, with Parker marked snap cap, instructions, and warranty card. Length of pull: 14-3/4”. Est.: $8,000-$12,000.
Lot 228: Browning B-S/S Side-by-Side Shotgun: #02363PY158, 12 ga., 28” barrels choked Imp.Cyl./Imp. Cyl., blue finish, checkered pistol-grip walnut stock, with later added Kick-eez rubber butt pad. Condition is excellent showing only light marks from handling and some very minor wear to finish at balance point of frame. Length of pull to end of wood: 13-1/8”; 14-5/8” to end of pad. Est.: $1,200-$1,800
Lot 217: Remington Model 3200 1 of 1000 Trap O/U Shotgun: #T0185, 12 ga., 30” barrel choked Full/Mod., roll engraved blue finish, select fancy checkered walnut stock and forend, with adjustable butt pad. Condition is excellent showing little use, with very light marks to stock from handling. Action is crisp, bores are bright. Est.: $1,800-$2,400.
