This is nice stuff here, most likely the only one of its kind on the world market. ////////////////////////////// Relative to the records from Holland & Holland, it was originally to be built as a 500/450 3 1/4″ nitro express. On the original build sheet it has a memo on June 12, 1906 that it was shot with Eley’s No. 2 nitro cartridge with 80 grs cordite and a 480 grain bullet. The gun is so marked and was proved accordingly. The length of pull on the build sheet is exactly as the gun measures to this day. Another memo on August 10, 1906 mentions fitting a spare Ivory front sight and it still is there in the trap grip cap and never installed. This piece remains almost exactly as it left H&H in August 1906. It was ordered by Fusils Guinard Armuriers in Paris and there is a very strong chance it never made it to India or Africa. Also, a very good chance that the First World War interupted the intended purpose or use of this gun and it remains to this day a very well kept piece. Price: $89,000
